The Voices of America Scholarship is now inviting submissions on the following new prompt.
Round 6 - AI in Education:
Should schools ban the use of AI tools like ChatGPT?
In case you aren’t following the issue, read our blogpost here and an explainer here to get up to speed on the emerging disruption being caused by Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the education space.
This issue is one that many students have told us they are really passionate and concerned about. AI technology truly has the potential to hugely impact the future of education and the future of work in seismic ways for today’s students. Please take a moment to respond to the prompt here and share your thoughts with the community on the issue.
Albion College Partnership Launched
We have just announced our first formal partnership with a University - Albion College. Albion is a private liberal arts college in Albion, Michigan. We have partnered with Albion’s School for Public Purpose and Professional Advancement (SPP) to provide an initial grant of $1,000 for a student who demonstrates a passion for engaging in political conversations and shaping the future direction of the country. All participants will also earn digital badges for completion of a collaborative engagement session for Albion.
If you want us to partner with your school to run an engagement session, please fill in this form and connect us with the Dean of Engagement / Students or a similar faculty member.
Voices of The Future - A Community Blog
We are excited to announce that our new co-created blog platform amplifying the voices of students on the issues that matter most to you is now accepting submissions on the topics we are covering in our prompts.

1. Short Takes - (250-word comments on a specific topic.) These will be included in co-created articles along with perspectives from other students.
2. Feature Article Pitches (a 250-word pitch on a specific topic.) This should outline an article or essay you’d like to submit of between 500-1000 words.)
3. Student Interview/Profiles (a 250-word intro) Tell us about yourself, what you are aiming to achieve, and we will feature you in a profile or interview as one of our Student Thought-Leaders.
The Voices of the Future Blog will be hosted here on Substack.
Note, contributions will all add to your overall score on Scholarship award assessments. (We will be formalizing a points system and leaderboard shortly so watch this space.)
