You may have seen our recent article AI on the campaign trail on whether AI is a risk to democracy. There was a lot of interest in this issue so we are now running a bonus prompt on the topic:
Prompt 11
Is AI a Threat to Democracy?
Artificial intelligence (AI) has become an increasingly prominent tool in political campaigning, presenting both perils and potential. Computer engineers and tech-inclined political scientists have long warned about the potential misuse of AI to create and spread misleading content, manipulate voters and potentially even impact elections. As AI capabilities advance, including the creation of synthetic media or ‘deepfakes’, concerns are growing regarding the potential for dissemination of fake news, impersonation of candidates, and the erosion of trust in democratic processes.
The first Voices of America Scholarship is wrapping up soon. Over the next few weeks, we will be awarding the remainder of the $10,000 scholarship funds to our most active, engaged, and passionate community members!
Rapid-fire Scholarship Awards Continue
We have continued awarding rapid-fire scholarship awards of $100 each under the Voices Of America scholarship pool in partnership with American Student Fund. We will follow this with the finals series. All rapid-fire award recipients (and any new submitters) are still eligible to win in the finals series. So keep sharing and submitting your ideas.
It's not too late to have your say and win a share of this funding pool. Even if you have already contributed three videos or comments, the more you contribute over the coming weeks, the higher your chances are of winning one of the top tier awards.
